The Summer Zone Applications for both Coaches and Swimmers is now available. Any swimmer wishing to go the meet in Richmond from August 6 - 9 should complete the application and send to Jim Willis . Swimmers must have at least a 'AA' time too compete at the meet. Any coach wishing to go to the meet must complete the Coach Application for the meet. Please return all information by July 25. The minutes for the Spring 2014 House of Delegates (HOD) Meeting are now available. The minutes will be approved at the next HOD on September 28 at the Southern Maine Community College in South Portland, ME. The 2014 - 2015 Maine Swimming Meet/Event Schedule is now available.

The information packet for the Sebago Lake Challenge is now posted on the meet/events schedule. The Swim will be held on August 2.

The 2014 MSI Spring House of Delegates Meeting was held on May 17 at the Alfond Youth Center in Waterville. The elections were held for new positions on MSI Board of Directors. On April 12, Maine Swimming hosted its annual Hall of Fame and awards Dinner at the Green Ladle in Lewiston. This year Pat Gallant Charette, Duffy Akerley, and Dewey Wyatt were inducted into the Hall of Fame. You can check out all the inductees at www.lrsc.org or check out the Hall of Fame at the Bath Area YMCA. Jim Willis from MDIY was named Coach of the Year, Zach Cravens from DEFY was named the Assistant Coach of the Year, and Steve McEachern was named the Volunteer of the Year.

We will again be hosting our summer season ending swim meet in Saint John, New Brunswick from July 24 - 26. The meet will run a format similar to last year's with the 11 & older's swimming prelims in the AM and finals in the early evening. The 10 & unders will swim all of their events in the evening except for the 400 Free which will be on Friday am. This year we will be allowing up to 150 swimmers from outside of Maine to compete at the meet....
