Maine Swimming Coaches Conference
Brunswick, ME – All Maine Swim Coaches from USA Registered Clubs, YMCAs, and high schools are invited to attend to the 2012 Maine Swimming Coaches Conference at Bowdoin College on Saturday, October 6th from noon to 5 o’clock. The conference is being sponsored by Maine Swimming, Inc. and Bowdoin College Head Swimming and Diving Coach, Brad Burnham. Also leading the discussions will be Bates College Head Swimming and Diving Coach, Peter Casares, and Colby College Head Swimming and Diving Coach, Tom Burton.
A noon lunch will be provided to all participating coaches and the discussion sessions will begin at 1 o’clock. Topics include updates on the finer points of racing, starts, turns, relay starts, training sets, dry land training, an update from attendees at the recent America Swim Coaches Association conference in Las Vegas, and the inside perspective on the college recruiting process. There will also be time for open discussion of additional topics. Schedule of the conference can be found here. The event will be held at 211 Buck Center, Bowdoin College.
